About us:
Business Tracer was founded and developed by Scots entrepreneur, Edward Ewan. Having served 10 years in the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm, he later became a licensed aircraft engineer before going into business for himself, choosing marketing as his career.
In 2003 he discovered internet advertising whilst working in the Civil Service, teaching soldiers computer skills. He decided that this was where his future lay. From then on he studied everything he could about internet advertising and the workings of the search engine.
In 2005 he read an article in the Sunday Times, which inspired him to start Business Tracer The Internet Advertising Centre.
He had always felt that something was wrong with internet advertising and the solution became clear after he read The Sunday Times article. He decided to create a new company dedicated to helping small and medium businesses, assisting them to achieve a successful internet presence
During the next years he used his knowledge and contacts to build an internet advertising system where smaller local businesses could compete with the power of larger national companies, having the same visibility on the internet as they did.
Smaller businesses could now offer their customers a choice - to go national or support the local businesses community. Given the choice, it was clear where the customer would rather shop... LOCALLY!
